The constitution doesnt solely refer to individuals rigjts, theres plent im there delegating the governments power and laws for states.
You are free, as long as you can afford it.
Yes, and while describing individual citizens, it's writers assumed "a well regulated militia," described people who were trained, able to be activated and deployed in official service. So what's going on with the training, activation, and deployment assumptions?
The individual rights of people who choose to join a well regulated citizen miltia, it doesnt apply to anyone else.
I like Massad…..but the 9th and Xth are all about states rights.
Let the truth be known
I hate to say it, but the vast majority of "don't tread on me" neckbeard edgelords do not know anything about the constitution except the first two and even then, they don't fully understand those amendments either.
The thing is, "amendment" is subject to changes. The founding fathers understood that things would change drastically in the future and made sure they could be changed accordingly.
One tense fellow
If you put it in terms of modern day, the second amendment is saying that citizens should be trained to the same skill level as the military and have access to the infantry equipment at the very least.
The national guard did not exist when the US constitution was written. It can't be about that.
I agree that the 2nd ammendment is about individual rights however isn't the 10th ammendment about states rights? I might be wrong. I think the 10th is about limiting the role of the federal government to specifically what the constitution allows tgem and nothing else and allowing everything else to fall to the authourity of the state and the individual. What do you guys think?
And the same number killed in auto crashes but people still drive crazy.
Shall not be infringed always seems about as cut and dry as it gets
While i agree with you i wouldnt use the Supreme Court in any argument. Its just a bunch of out of touch old people voting on things they dont really understand
What rights? When you have to defend yourself in a court of law and bear all the costs of that defense then, there is no rights… just a privilege.
Yea you should see how bad NYC is. Lol the shit we have to go through. Unbelievable
You are most accurate Sir …
Correct
Solely about tyranny
If we are talking about the Bill of Rights, "When the government in any form becomes destructive of life its the responsibility of the governed to alter it or abolish it…"
The second amendment has become destructive of life.
Good explanation.
Look, im from the uk and frankly i wish we had guns. I know people take the piss because we use machetes, knifes and acid attacks but people need to realsie that there are alot of illegal guns also and the fact is i'd rather be able to legally carry a gun to defend myself than my organs torn to shreds by a massive zombie knife or attacked with acid or shot with a gun that was illegally aquired
