No law can protect us from dumb crazy people who think they’re sane. I’d say at least 50% of Floridians suffer from emotional/mental health problems and substance abuse. These are the so called “legal” gun owners.

I wonder how far can this go? Will americans actually give firearms to teachers in school in order to avoid more direct solutions? I'm also curious of what would happen if the US adopted the more modern european stance on guns ownership: would it be possible at that point to revert the process?

It's ridiculous that you can't open carry in Florida. That makes absolutely no sense. Florida has this reputation of everyone having guns. I was at the beach in Jersey and I was talking to guy who had lived there and as if it was a warning he says "just so you know everyone carries a gun down there" I said GOOD! I also informed him that Pennsylvania where I'm from, a dem state, has a higher percentage of concealed carry permits issued also you can open carry there without a permit. So much for Florida being the gun haven of the south east coast.
Instead of categorized MISDEMEANOR and FELON, one should be convicted of a crime. What are serious criminal acts?

Hummm so if they post no guns and a bad person comes in and robs the place and I get shot can I sue them because I couldn’t protect myself at that time ! Here’s the other thing you can’t have a weapon on you while your within I believe it’s 1000 ft of a school —- this means if the school property is next to the road your driving by a police officer could stop any or every car and if your weapon is on you you can be arrested , so my under standing is it has to be stored in a contained area like glove bow or a safe storage box , if I’m wrong somebody please correct me .

I’ll tell you what this means for me… it means I will hardly go out because too many crazies with guns out right now.
As usual, WPLG got things wrong:
-you MUST always have state I.D. In you at all times while carrying
-you CAN carry inside private businesses. If they post a “NO FIREARMS ALLOWED IN THIS STORE” sign, it’s is not a lawfully binding sign but they CAN ask you to leave. If you don’t, the police can be called and issue you a trespassing warning or arrest you for trespassing.
-there is no 3 day waiting period if you have your concealed carry license. If you have the license, you can walk into a dealer and walk out with your firearm the same day, providing you pass the federal background check.
