I know its not federal, but im surprised you didnt mention the mulford act
To my knowledge, i believe mentally unstable people, that have medical diagnosis on record, are also barred from getting any firearms. Ive had several friends and family denied based on past diagnosis'
One thing I’d love both sides to understand is that there is no way the government could even confiscate a fraction of the firearms in the United States. It’ll be an utter failure like the war on drugs. Any solution will have to be much different than simply confiscating guns.
It's a m240 not a M60
If there's a registry, all the government has to do is do a sweeping ban and require you to turn in your guns or face jail. No thanks. I don't think antigunners understand how much they can cost, a basic rifle and pistol setup can easily run you $1500. Imagine someone requiring you to turn in your $1000 baseball bat collection without compensation. "That's a stupid comparison! They're not the same!" yeah, but it's still illegal and insane to smash someone's head in with a bat, and thankfully you get a go to jail forever card in doing so, which is all you need. You can't make a country of 350+ million safe. You just can't. So don't legislate on restrictions for the overwhelmingly vast majority of us who are perfectly fit to own a weapon. Focus on understanding and screening for those one in a million people that will actually do something bad with those weapons. It is nobody's responsibility to micromanage your firearms besides yourself and your family, government has no place in deciding what's best for you to own. Maybe if they sunk half of what they've surely spent on gun lobbying into inner city programs, gun safety classes in schools, and mental institutions/help, we wouldn't have any worries.
Statisticly your more likely to be murdered by the cops you rely on for your safety then by the concealed carry permit holder most modern gun control targets. Laws arnt peaceful acts.
The basic idea behind gun control is that if someone has the ability to commit a crime they will commit that crime. This shits on the idea of "innocent until proven guilty" by assuming someone will be guilty even when there is ni evidence a crime will even be commited. This is actually worse then "guilty until proven innocent" because it haooens even without a crime and applies to litteraly everyone. Your basicly assuming absolutely everyone is guilty and refusing to accept any evidence of innocence. If you can supoort that sort of attitude you dont believe in justice or even mutual resoect and i have no respect for you.
So the lack of gun control and increase in gun violence is rather a recent phenomenon and closely related to the modern intepretation of second amendments?
23:05 Brazil has a brutal gun control policy that makes it in practice a ban on guns for normal people. Brazil kills as much or more than the USA WITH GUNS. Criminals DO NOT GO via the regular and lawful ways to own a gun. The police, in all states, IF THEY CHOOSE TO GO TO YOUR POLICE CALL, take too much time to get to you. Sad but true.
22:33 in planes.
21:28 I know hitler had trained units, planes, bombs and tanks…but that is common sense if you remember that behind the lines 'gorila warfare' was a thing already, and people were really more motivated to fight…
21:04 hahaha I am in 2025, and YES, Australia lived a Tyranny for a time. hahahaha I am not saying that to disprove other of your points, BUT Australia proved to be a bad example. And you could not foresee that.
"australia has a bit more gun control and they aren't living under a tyrannical government"
that aged like milk
So, you say that's a picture of you holding an M60 machine gun, and it's clearly an M240B.
During the first 3 minutes of the video, the commentator contradicts himself several time. The commentator should take a course in logic.
7:36 so under the constitution we are allowed ordinary military equipment? i think machineguns are pretty ordinary when it comes to the military; or for that matter any automatic weapon. this also applies to explosive ordinance, like hand grenades and controlled explosives like c4.
5:00 you are wrong. it only took a simple google search to see that this is the case.
In 1776, Jefferson proposed that "no freeman shall ever be debarred the use of arms" for the Virginia Constitution.
In 1788, Adams said that the Constitution should not prevent peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms.
Paine believed that it was important for decent people to be armed against criminals. He said that arms like laws discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe.
So you’d be OK if the Army sent you to fight the taliban but only allowed you to carry a really loud and shrill whistle?
The bad guys are always going to find ways to get guns.
Btw… I subscribed to your channel JUST so I could immediately unsubscribe from it.
Hard disagree on the definition of "fundamental human right" like some fundamental human rights do have to be written down. like not to be genocided… or the UN literally writing down all the fundamental human rights…
What's next? The moderates guide to 1776?
The only gun control for us is trigger discipline, sight alignment, and knowing when it's time to protect your rights by force!
Most coherent contribution to US gun regulation I've seen.
7:10 No I do not agree those weapons should not be in civilian hands.
5:12 Incorrect. Back in those days, the militia was basically all able bodied adults.
