  • Here your 2025 update

    From 2023 to 2025 we had atleast 1 – 3 gang shootings happening in public weekly.

    Youth crime has risen and more home invasion have occurred.

    More law abiding citizens have been killed or harmed in these home invasion

    Most Australia’s have weapons ready at home but end up in jail for protecting our homes .

    We have more registered guns now than before the ban

    There’s over 1 million illegal guns in Australia

    Criminals still got semi auto guns

  • All the mass shootings in Australia are by illegal weapons and people breaking the law, Rudd is one of the polititians that have disarmed Australia, you didn't mention the deaths by stabbings that are going through the roof. The home invasions, robberies, rapes the list goes on. DO NOT GIVE UP YOUR FIRE ARMS.

  • Reading comments I think people are a little confused by Australia’s firearms laws.
    We have nationalised laws which most importantly include background checks of all applicants. Anyone over 16 can get a firearms license as long as they don’t have an AVO out against them or convicted of violent crimes. It’s not difficult or expensive…at least in Queensland. You can have whatever calibres you choose & own as many as you wish. You do need lockable storage & a reason which can be sports shooting, hunting, collector, pest management etc.

  • Americans can learn having only a dozen deaths a year due to guns is better than 40,000 deaths. But I’m not sure if American can even count

    @illpunchyouintheface9094 April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • The answer to the title's query is that Australians are fine with giving up their rights to be subjugated by an oppressive tyrannical government, with no adult like behavior in Australiaand and no individual responsibility in Australia.

    @douglasbockman2772 April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • Nothing can be learned from Australia, except how to take away the right to defend yourself from bad actors

    @randyinscoe5780 April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • I visited Australia. I wasn't impressed. I was impressed by local indigenous peoples!

    @CaptainHi-Top-w5q April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • In answer to the thumbnail question: nothing (or more precisely, what not to do).

    @JamesPuckett-k5c April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • What Americans can learn from Australian gun control: you might think nobody’s coming for your guns, but they are.

    @ShibaFan99 April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • Welcome to Australia were you can't even say the G word and self defence is a crime.

    @marvin69blastem61 April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • Australia is the type of democracy USA wishes it could be.

    @noonecares379 April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • What those in the US can learn: NEVER trust your government.

    @YourLittleDeath April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • Thats called having rights.

    @nathanfindley8366 April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • You can still get semi auto weapons you just have to have a good reason as to why you need it.

    @Jay-ro2vn April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • yes we should have howitzer artillery and tanks

    @Golden_Patriot April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • 2:10 its not a right if government can just take it away its a privilege

    @Golden_Patriot April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • As an Australian, I never want to see a gun in my life. I also know that if I call the police and I run out to talk to them that I won't be shot to death..

    @burney7418 April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • Bruh why are people calling australia tyrannical because of mask wearing and the most stupid things i have heard. I would rather wear a mask them be sick a feel like crap for 2 weeks or die. Like wow i have no gun but nor does anybody else and if you say robbers have them… You're stupid because no way are they going to rob you instead of say a store. A teacher i know scared a robber with a golf club but in america she would be dead.Australia might be bad in some ways but atleast it know what to do to keep people healthy and ALIVE.

    @epicspooderboi6180 April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • The US has a problem of having too many angry people so disconnected from society that to them committing mass murder seems the only answer to their angst.
    I’d suggest this is symptomatic of having a culture of individualism.
    Those that benefit the most from the status quo, are more than happy to perpetuate the ‘individualism = good – everything else is ‘communism’ narrative. So pervasive is this message, any chance of meaningful change is for all practical purposes nonexistent. This means problems like gun deaths, urban decay, growing favelas etc) are normalised instead of addressed.
    Individually most Americans are thought of fondly in western countries. If anything, Americans are often felt sorry for.

    @PM-do2yu April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • Never surrender your weapons too anyone e specially GOVERNMENT

    @thomasjames2352 April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • 5.30ish

    Yes we have an unlimited right to bear any arms
    Shall not be infringed

    @deadlyta April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • Not to let them happen here

    Shall not be infringed

    @deadlyta April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • I’m as progressive as they come but no this story is misleading. Australia’s hun violence was already on the decline BEFORE this massacre.

    @staytheknight April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • australian gun laws are shit and very from state to state western australia is the worst law no good for any who has a hobby of guns

    @robertfoster7807 April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • Nothing. They are sheep

    @pcfire0364 April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • I'm pretty sure(going off memory) it's illegal to carry a sharp object with you unless you have a sensible reason (E.g. Scissors for school, knife for a cooking class or something), and if you are caught with a sharp object on you, you can face a fine and possible jail time

    @VonStrinmen April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • I'll be heading up the task force whose task is to perform the task of identifying the root cause of what's causing gun violence at its roots and what causes it. And then when the task force completes the task we were tasked with identifying the root cause that causes gun violence, the task force will be tasked with forcing the task of eliminating the root causes that cause the root of gun violence to end gun violence. Common sense gun control relies on the common sense that without guns there can be no gun violence so the task force will be tasked with the task of reducing gun violence by ending the violence from guns by taking the guns at their root cause. And I'll use another $100 million to help bail out convicted felons who were disadvantaged and had to commit gun violence to overcome their disadvantages, as a root cause.

    @jtmaher100 April 29, 2025 10:35 pm
  • Gun controls do not work Mexico has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the world but has by no means stopped criminals from acquiring guns same like most third world countries full of so many loose guns
