Johnny Harris is a popular YouTuber known for producing engaging mini-documentaries on his channel. I’ve watched quite a few of them.
Recently, he released a viral documentary titled “Why The Swiss Love Their Guns (More Than Americans).” While I found his claim hard to believe, I decided to give it a chance.
However, after watching this video, which is admittedly well-done, this documentary is just a thinly veiled, passive-aggressive hit piece against the Second Amendment in America masked as a documentary.
So, now I have to debunk it.

That Johnny's idea is spreading an INCORRECT and INSANE IDEA! He has the right voice to be speaking PROPAGANDA (in case some Leftist hires him for that purpose). What he is saying is WRONG historically. The militia were the farmers who brought their own guns to join others to fight the British. They marched together, practiced drills and tried to follow strategies to win skirmishes. Britain had imposed taxes after taxes, like a tyrant, and we had no representation to object to those taxes. Every man in town had a gun to hunt for food and to protect his family against burglars, criminals, etc. Thankfully, the new country was able to win against Britain (because Britain was also fighting other wars). One thing was on the minds of the Founding Fathers—–we must always defend ourselves against TYRANNICAL GOVERNMENTS. Therefore, the Constitution they wrote had many checks and balances to limit the powers of the three parts of government, and the Second Amendment was meant to protect OUR RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS.
I never understand the attachment to the constitution in the US and distrust of the government.
The United States Constitution dates from 1787, it was modified 27 times without any referendum , like the constitution…
I do not understand how a democracy has as its founding text a text that was not voted on by its citizens.
It seems logical to me to have constituents for each generation and have the constitution voted on by referendum.

Shooting ranges culture in Switzerland it’s also to have the security that’s every bullet is flying under control from start to the end. In America if you a firing in your property on whatever almost never is assured that control and in every shooting the bullets could flight easily outside your property and hurt someone!
