Yesterday, Wednesday, March 27, Washington Governor Jay Inslee, true to form, signed the below anti-gun bills into law.

House Bill 1903 further victimizes law-abiding gun owners and sportsmen by penalizing us for failing to report a missing or stolen firearm within 24 hours.

House Bill 2118 mandates additional costly requirements for licensed firearms dealers (FFLs) to continue to operate their businesses.

Senate Bill 5985 places the unconstitutional provisions of the recent ban on commonly owned firearms into the section of the state code on background checks.

Even though our community suffered some losses this legislative session, the fight is far from over.  We expect animal rights and gun control advocates to return in 2025, and the Game Commission still has monthly meetings scheduled.  Rest assured, the Sportsmen’s Alliance will continue to fight with you and monitor activities in the Evergreen State.
