A large, angry, mob smashed through a locked metal gate in a private community, and began scaring the residents. This massive `group of unruly protestors alarmed the McCluskys, who naturally got out their firearms to protect themselves. This group of people was never charged with destruction of private property, criminal trespass, or criminal menacing — all of which they were guilty of.

The problem is it is against the law to point guns at people. The other problem is he was defending himself against people who did not attack him. You can't pull a gun on people who are just walking down the street and call peaceful protesters terrorists.
I mean… he is a victim. He was on his property in a private community defending his home from marauding protestors who BROKE IN to the private community. And by state law castle doctrines he has a right to defend his property like that. And it is precedented considering that this series of protests haven’t necessarily been “peaceful” considering they’ve been smashing up businesses.

You do realize they where walking down the street, they weren’t on his property, they weren’t threatening him, they were walking down the street. Him and his wife decide to pull guns on a group of people walking down the street. It baffles me that majority of this comment section is not condemning his actions.

Nothing is more American than having a loaded rifle in your hand and yelling "Get off my property!" to a bunch of racist thugs trying to lynch you. FBI, CIA and all the alphabet agencies have failed the Constitution and can do nothing to protect you – they have their own agendas. What's left is sweet old 2nd Amendment and those willing to use it to stand against tyranny and evil! Whether we agree on certain political issues is one thing, but the right to defend yourself and your property is a universal right!
